One year after our July 2025 Seoul tasting, we returned to the Korea wine market with our biggest outreach to date.
On 1 July 2026 we hosted our annual trade tasting in Seoul. In the weeks before the event, our team contacted 306 wine importers across Korea, reaching out via KakaoTalk, email and direct calls. On the day, 24 buyers from 18 importing companies worked through the line-up from Korea's largest importers to the new generation of online-first wine boutiques. Every one of them received a personal follow-up within 48 hours.
What the room told us about the Korea wine market in 2026
Rarity opens doors. The longest conversations were about wines from regions most Korean shelves don't carry yet. A Campania estate drew some of the day's most focused interest precisely because nobody else in the room could offer it.
Online-first boutiques are reshaping the market. Several of the most engaged buyers run digital-first wine businesses, selling stories and rarity to consumers who research before they buy. This channel barely existed here a few years ago.
White wine momentum is real. Whites drew consistent attention at nearly every table confirming what our order books have shown all year.
Follow-ups are now in full swing: samples, feedback, negotiation, one account at a time.
If you are a winery wondering what it takes to enter the Korea wine market: this is what it takes. Not a list of email addresses : a room, a pour, and a follow-up within 48 hours.
Your Wine Rep runs annual trade tastings in Seoul, plus events across Japan, China, Taiwan and Australia. Next year's room is already taking shape, get in touch to be in it.
